Texas Design Week recently brought together some of the most influential names in interior design for a series of keynote presentations at Decorative Center Houston. The Monday programming featured three standout events, offering attendees exclusive insights into the creative processes and personal journeys of celebrated designers.
The day began with a keynote by Thomas O’Brien at the Patterson Flynn showroom. A master of vintage elegance and founder of Aero Studios, O’Brien shared his perspective on materiality, craftsmanship, and his own period residence. The presentation included a Morning Eye-Opener, Salon Talk, and book signing, followed by a reception. The discussion was moderated by Anne Lee Phillips, a noted design writer whose work appears in Architectural Digest, AD Pro, Travel + Leisure, and PaperCity.
Midday, attendees gathered at the Adam Cook with SHOP at Decorative Center Houston for a Lunch-Time Wine, Salon Talk, and book signing with Billy Cotton. An iconic American designer, Cotton’s multidisciplinary work spans interior design, product design, and architecture.
The afternoon concluded with a dynamic presentation by Corey Damen Jenkins at the David Sutherland showroom. Known for his vibrant personality and inspiring story, Jenkins captivated the audience with a candid discussion of building a legacy design business. Celebrated for his sophisticated use of color, texture, and pattern, Jenkins has earned recognition on the Architectural Digest AD100, Elle Decor A-List, and 1stDibs 50, and is also a featured instructor on the MasterClass.
