“Peace Not War” Family=Friendly Ashpalt Drawing Contest
Children and families are invited to turn pavement into a colorful celebration of peace, friendship, and hope.
The Cultural Center“Our Texas” invites Houston families to participate in “Peace,Not War,” a family-friendly asphalt drawing contest, taking place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
The event will beheld in the parking lot of Kido’s International, next to the Cultural Center “Our Texas,” located at 2337 Bissonnet St., Houston, TX 77005.
Using colorful sidewalk chalk, children and families will be encouraged to express their ideas about peace, friendship, kindness, unity, and a world without war. Participants will transform the pavement into a temporary outdoor gallery filled with their own creative visions of amore peaceful world.
The event is designed to bring families and the Houston community together through art and a positive message. Children of all ages are welcome to participate, and no professional art experience is necessary—just imagination and a desire to create.
Participation is free. Chalk will be provided, and prizes will be awarded to participants. Advance registration is requested. To register, please email infocorpourtexas@gmail.com.
