Miller Outdoor Theatre opens 100th season March 17-18

March 17, 8pm –  Trinity Irish Dance Company,  the globally beloved dance company, brings their progressive Irish Dance to Houston for St. Patrick’s Day. Using Irish Dance step as an instrument and a metaphor, TIDC redefines the medium with passion, flair, and precision.

March 18, 6pm – 8 p.m. Celebrate Miller’s 100th, Roaring 20s Style – the first of the special events celebrates the “birth” of Miller in 1923 with a roaring 20s themed extravaganza with Vaudeville performers, epic photo installations, and jazzy music by the Hot Sardines at 8 p.m.

March 24, 8pm – I Am King – The Michael Jackson Experience – Take a musical and visual journey into the world of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop with an incredible cast of dancers and musicians in this energetic tribute.  Michael Firestone, a renowned Michael Jackson tribute artist, headlines the evening. Sing along to powerful renditions of Jackson’s biggest hits including “Bad,” “Billie Jean,” “Thriller,” “Man in the Mirror,” and many more.

March 25, 8pm – “Romance” produced by The Houston Latin American Philharmonic – Enjoy an evening of romantic Latin American music and dance. Musicians will perform rhythms such as Tango, Danzon, Ranchera, Cha-Cha-Cha, Bachata, Bolero, and more.

March 31, 8pm – Waking Up Free: India’s Journey produced by Silambam – As India celebrates its 75th year of Indian independence “Waking Up Free” is an evening length performance that tells the stories of India’s struggle for independence.  This original production weaves together classical Indian music and the expressivity of classical Indian dance to tell the story of struggle to the hope of present-day India.


There’s something for everyone on stage at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park.  From daytime programs especially for young children to family friendly evening performances of music, dance, theatre and more, this is Houston’s best entertainment value.  Admission is FREE!

Tickets can be obtained online from the Miller website one day prior to a performance, starting at 10:00 a.m. through noon on the day of a performance.  The theatre reserves a limited number of tickets for the Box Office which opens an hour before the show starts.  For help with handicap accessible seating, call the box office in advance at 832-487-7123. As always, seating is open on the hill.
