Chef All-Star Angelo Sosa teams up with Jackson & Company to create unique outdoor culinary adventure April 14

Food, wine, and nature lovers will have the best of all worlds at the Second Annual Fulbrook Cork & Culinary Fair, Sat., April 14th in west Houston at 5530 Fulbrook Green in Fulshear, Texas. A portion of the proceeds for this unique outdoor festival will benefit Methodist Hospital in Katy.

New York City chef Angelo Sosa of Top Chef All-Stars on Bravo TV will share his culinary secrets with attendees. This year’s festival spotlights the Mediterranean and will feature wines and foods from France, Italy, Spain and Greece. The afternoon events include Chef Sosa’s cooking demonstration and tastings from a dozen different food and wine pairing tents.  Evening guests will be treated to a multiple-course food and wine dinner, presented by top Houston caterer Jackson & Company, while they dine under the star and century-old pecan trees.

Fulbrook, the custom home community hosting the event, and neighboring Fulshear Creek Crossing are the only known “vineyard communities” in the Houston area.

Noon  – 6 p.m._Pairing Tents, Chef Demonstrations

Between noon – 6 p.m., guests will sip wine, taste food and stroll among elegant pairing tents where acclaimed chefs will provide food samples to pair with the selected wines. Visitors can vote for their favorite to win the Blue Cork Award.  Local favorite Chef Soren Pederson of Ray’s Grill and Sorrel Urban BistroSusan Doherty of Green Eyed Susan French Patisserie and Tim and Phyllis Smith and Craig Adams of French County Wines will join these local foodie fashionsetters: Andalucia,Aura, Creative Crepes, Dekker’s Mesquite Grill, Dionysus Wine Imports, Essence House Café, Jackson & Company, Mia Bella Trattoria,

Outdoor Gourmet Wine Dinner

At 6:30 p.m., guests can dine under the stars and savor expertly paired Mediterranean wines with hors d’oeuvres plus a five-course seated tasting dinner provided by Jackson and Company. Tickets are limited and cost $135 each, $1080 for a reserved table of eight, or $1500 for a reserved table with Chef Sosa, with proceeds going to the Methodist Hospital in Katy.  Go to www.fulbrook.net to purchase tickets by April 10 or until the event is sold out.
