Children’s Museum Houston – Fall Happenings

Fiestas Patrias

Saturday, Sept. 1

Sponsored by Gilbert Andrew Garcia/Garcia Hamilton & Associates, L.P.

Funded in part by City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.

On September 15, 1810, Father Miguel Hidalgo climbed atop a church and encouraged people to fight for Mexico’s independence. This “cry” for liberty marks the anniversary of Mexico’s “Grito de Dolores” and it’s celebrated with music, fireworks, and parades.  Join Children’s Museum Houston for a day of music, art, dance and more as we celebrate Fiestas Patrias and reenact “el Grito.”
